We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate Freelance Activity Providers to join Axon Neuro as associates with our business.

Axon Neuro Rehab empower clients to gain their independence and achieve their goals. Our service is centred around clients living with brain injury or neurological conditions. We provide a connected multidisciplinary team that consists of Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Assistants, Activity Practitioners, and Other Allied Therapists.

The Role

Everyone has unique skills, interests, and talents that can make a meaningful difference to someone's rehabilitation journey.

As an Activity Provider with Axon Neuro, you will use your particular skills, hobbies, interests, or expertise to support individuals living with brain injury or neurological conditions to engage in meaningful activities, build confidence, develop new abilities, and improve their quality of life.

Your skill could be almost anything, including:

  • Cooking and baking
  • Gaming and technology
  • Photography and videography
  • Swimming and water-based activities
  • Arts and crafts
  • Music and performance
  • Fitness and exercise
  • Gardening
  • Walking and outdoor pursuits
  • Fishing
  • Woodworking and DIY
  • Cars and mechanics
  • Animal care
  • Digital skills and social media
  • Education and tutoring
  • Vocational mentoring
  • Any other hobby, trade, interest, or specialist skill

You will be responsible for working with individuals on a one-to-one basis, helping them participate in activities they enjoy or introducing them to new experiences that support their rehabilitation goals and personal aspirations.

We are looking for

  • A skill, hobby, interest, trade, or area of expertise you are passionate about sharing
  • The ability to motivate, encourage, and engage others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a person-centred approach
  • A genuine desire to help people achieve their goals and maximise their potential

Experience supporting people with disabilities, neurological conditions, brain injuries, or within community settings is beneficial but not essential, as training can be given.
